A unique WWII submarine simulator is called TUBOAT. The goal of this sandbox survival game is to lead a German crew. The submarine is their home but can quickly become their grave.

The survival aspects of the game rely heavily on the damage mechanism. Unusual situations will happen due to damage, testing your creativity and calmness. You can try to save everyone or leave someone behind to save others.
While your ship travels the seas, you’ll often be on your own. Utilize resources wisely by putting your managerial skills to use. Sometimes, recover them at sea by asking allies for help or looting enemy shipwrecks.
Turn off unnecessary devices to save battery. Tell the crew to stay in their bunks to preserve oxygen. If morale is low, play a card game or music from nearby radio stations to cheer them up.
During the game, you’ll get assignments from Kriegsmarine headquarters. These tasks aren’t linear and you may get additional orders or face unexpected problems.
Successfully completing tasks rewards you with more budget and reputation as a U-boat skipper. You will need this to upgrade your ship and keep up with enemy tech advances.
Upgrade your boat with funds, get permissions with reputation points, and buy new equipment like torpedoes, sonar decoys, and CO2 absorbers.
UBOAT’s simulation is very realistic but still fun to play. Even small details like ballast influence and Earth’s curvature are accurately reproduced.
If you prefer hands-on action, take control of the periscope, hydrophone, or deck gun and handle things yourself!
