Luddite is a turn based campaign game that comes with a fully integrated graphic novel. The game was made possible thanks to support from 1426 Kickstarter backer’s.
The story take’s you to Yurushi Earth’s largest city and a massive metropoli’s. You play as a young engineer who has recently lost their job at Niven Megacorporation. Like millions of others, losing your job means being forced to move back to the Saitama Slums. This is a huge, abandoned area filled with people who are now jobless because AI-powered machines have taken over their roles. In the game, you and your team will use your engineering skills to hack into these machines and break their systems. However, the big corporations don’t play fair.
The game follows the storyline of the Luddite graphic novel which feature’s stunning artwork by Adam Beachey. You can play the game solo, with friends, or even in large group either cooperatively or competitively. The campaign is replayable and resettable allowing endless playthroughs. The gameplay combines roll-and-write mechanics with a fun push your luck system. Players must act quickly to disrupt AI systems and escape before the corporation’s countermeasures kick in.
