“Why do I find myself returning to this place repeatedly?” I’ve been stuck here for almost 12 hours now. This is the 14th time I have returned here. I was just about to leave after visiting, but somehow I always end up back here. Is this just a dream? I’ve noticed the numbers on the wall changing; maybe they mean something. There’s a locked door with a password, but I don’t know what it iss for or where to find the password. I’ll proceed cautiously to find my way out.
After reading this, you should now understand the gist of the game and its objectives. Hearing about it too much might make you forget. Now it is time to test your memory. There are 86 anomalies in total, mostly simple ones. If there’s no anomaly, please go through the door behind you. If there’s an anomaly, choose another door.If you make a mistake, you’ll need to begin again from the beginning. It is dark so use your flashlight.”
Good news: There’s a cabinet available. Bad news: There’s also a cabinet. But don’t worry, you can run fast and there are no physical limits. Perhaps the cabinet is just for show. The game “The Exit 8” offers a playtime of 30-60 minutes with 86 anomalies and two possible endings. You can switch between seeing through your character’s eyes and seeing them from outside.
Controls include WASD for movement, Shift to run, E to interact, F for flashlight, and V to switch perspectives. It’s a single-player experience, and for accurate translation, English or Chinese is recommended. This is my first game, developed from scratch over two and a half weeks, with all voices performed by me. Thanks for your supportand I hope you have fun playing!
