Introduction of BYTES THE REVERSE TOWER DEFENSE
In Reverse Tower Defense, you’re the attacker, not the defender. Your job is to plan a path strategically and use special tiles to protect your units, called Bytes, from damage.
There’s a rogue AI named “NLAI 74a” or “Complexus” that’s gotten past security in East Grid. You need to stop the AI and keep the city safe by getting control of the security spots again.
In Bytes, there’s an AI named Complexus who’s your opponent. She is smart and sets up turrets to stop you. The game changes all the time, so you can’t rely on one plan. Complexus gets better turrets by destroying your units and winning rounds.
Each level is a bit different because of random things and Complexus. There are 8 types of turrets she can use. In Bytes, the main focus is on keeping your units safe while navigating through challenging situations by carefully strategizing your path.
You have the option to employ special tiles to support your units such as shielding them leaping across gaps or increasing their speed. Additionally you can adjust the arrangement of your units to ensure their safety.
You have three types of units to choose from, or you can make your own waves in the Byte Editor.
Complete levels, unlock upgrades, and tackle harder challenges to regain control of the 71 security nodes in East Grid in any order you like.
In Bytes, the story progresses as you complete Story Nodes.You are free to tackle them in any order that suits you.The story will move forward as you visit these nodes, and it will remember the order you did them in case you want to go back to earlier scenes.
Bytes has a complete story with two main endings. You also have the opportunity to pick dialogue options and engage with the characters in the game.y as a hacker hired by New Life to stop Complexus, one of their AIs, from causing trouble in the city.
