These nations are either aligned with NATO or the Warsaw Pact. On one side, you have the United States, West Germany, United Kingdom, and France while the Soviet Union and East Germany are on the other.
With over 1000 military units featured in the game, each possessing its own unique abilities and characteristics, players have a wide array of options to choose from. These units range from powerful tanks like the M1A1 Abrams and Leopard to helicopters aircraft, and special forces units like the Spetsnaz. In the Armory section of the game, players can inspect and compare each unit in detail.
Furthermore, players can assemble their battlegroups using famous military formations and brigades each with its own distinct identity. This allows players to customize their troops according to their strategic preferences and playstyle, utilizing an advanced battlegroup building system within WARNO.
Embark on five extensive turn-based strategic campaigns as an Army General, set in the NATO’s CENTAG and Warsaw Pact’s Central Group of Forces area in 1989.
